About Us
Student Network Tibet (SNT) is a student organization founded in the 1980s at the University of Zurich. There was already a student association for Tibetan students and friends of Tibet at the University of Zurich in the 1980s and into the early 2000s. Unfortunately, this association was dissolved due to a lack of activity. A few years later, we founded the Student Network Tibet on May 6, 2016. We offer a platform where students with Tibetan roots and students interested in Tibetan culture from all Swiss colleges and universities can exchange ideas. We are committed to strengthening Tibetan society in Switzerland. We want to share the knowledge we gain through our studies with them and thus contribute to their socioeconomic situation.
Our goal
Supporting our next generation is also important to us. We want to support children and young people of Tibetan descent in achieving their academic goals. It is important to us to promote Tibetan culture among our members, and we are committed to ensuring that Tibetan culture is represented at Swiss universities and colleges of applied sciences.
