One in five older people in Switzerland is acutely threatened by poverty or already affected. This is even more true for people with a migration background, who lack knowledge about retirement planning and mostly rely on the benefits of the first pillar of the Swiss pension system. Therefore, we at the Student Network Tibet (SNT) are delighted to have hosted the "SNT Talks – Smart Investments" at the University of Zurich with Tashi Gumbatshang as speaker, the first event in our "SNT Talks" lecture series. We would like to thank him for his time and for sharing his knowledge about intelligent investments to avoid old-age poverty with over 50 students from ETH, HSG, and UZH.
